[kronolith] SMS reminders with Kronolith

As far as I gather, this is not an existing feature - but has anybody
attempted to integrate Kronolith with some kind of SMS reminders - maybe
some hooks to work with Gammu, or something similar? I have a site where
they need sms reminders for appointments, and it would be nice to
integrate it with Horde/Kronolith, instead have having a completely
separate system.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Correct, this is not currently implemented, but would be useful. My
suggestion would be to implement a Horde_Sms package to abstract
access to various sms services, and then implement another
notification/alarm driver that utilizes this.

As a workaround for the time being, you might want to have emails sent
to an email2sms gateway. Configure  Notifications.

Thank you for that suggestion. I think I should be able to build my own
email2sms gateway out of gammu and Exim, and get Exim to recognise
mobile numbers and route them through gammu. It's not really elegant, as
people would have to put the attendee's mobile number in the email field
of the appointment, but it should do for the moment. That might just work!
